Rainforest Concern protect threatened natural habitats and the biodiversity they contain, together with the indigenous people who depend on them for survival. In their 28 years of existence they have helped to protect 2.2 million hectares of threatened forests.

Why are rainforests important to us?

Rainforests are thriving ecosystems of diverse plants and animals, many of which are not found elsewhere in the world. But most valuable of all, is their ability to fight global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing much needed oxygen into the air. You can find out more here.
